Flourishing In A Crisis

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

Colossians 1:13 NKJV

Everyone has either experienced a crisis or knows someone who has. The fact of the matter is, we will have trouble in this world. Jesus said so Himself! (John 16:33). But Jesus also said in that same passage to “take heart, for I have overcome the world.” So what does this mean for us?

There are two kingdoms operating on earth today, the Kingdom of God, and the kingdom of darkness. As Colossians has clearly shown us, God has moved us from one kingdom to the other! The Kingdom of the Son of His love. The Kingdom of the one who said, “I have overcome the world.” That means that we are a kingdom of overcomers!

But here’s the thing, you get to decide which Kingdom you’re going to operate by. See in the world, you will have trouble. In the kingdom of darkness, there are problems, sickness, poverty, death, and all the other junk we see in the world today. But in the Kingdom of God, there is peace, prosperity, healing, life, and every other answer you need for the problems you’re facing! And the way you walk in that Kingdom is meditating on the Word of God and His promises. We can walk in the same overcoming power that Jesus walked in by faith in what He did for us! Faith in Jesus, what He did, and what His word says is how we all can flourish in a crisis.

Be blessed and encouraged,

John
