Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
There are millions of people living in freedom in the societal use of the word. They live in a country that operates in some form of free government. And yet, so many of those people are not “free indeed.” They are trapped in sin, shame, sickness, addiction or any other forms of bondage. So how do we as “free” people walking in true freedom?
Jesus said in John 8:32 that it’s the truth that sets us free, but what is the truth? We see that answered later in John: “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” – John 14:6. Jesus is the answer to our need for freedom. Press into Jesus and learn from Him. Let Him show you the difference between right and wrong, the difference between truth and lies, and the beautiful promises that are yes and amen in Him!
Come just as you are to Jesus, abide in Him and He will lead you out of whatever bondage you find yourself in and into the abundant life and freedom that comes from knowing the truth, from knowing Him! That is how you become free indeed!
Be blessed and encouraged!
