“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” 

Ephesians 3:20 NKJV

 

As we continue to look at the importance of understanding God’s love for us, and living a life of faith, we can see a direct connection between knowing His love from the heart and receiving the abundance He has for us.    

 

This week’s verse is talking about God working amazing things, even more than we could ask for. However, it’s according to the “power working in us”. The question is, how do we get the “power working in us”? The verse before tells us it’s by understanding “what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge”. 

 

Living a life of faith and power, and walking in the abundance God has for us, are directly connected to understanding at the heart level how much God in Christ loves us. Meditating on the good things God has done in your life, on all the blessings you have right now, even the seemingly insignificant ones, will increase your understanding of the love God has for you and will help you walk in a greater measure of faith!
